WHY THIS FAMILY EXISTS

Protect the machine before contamination becomes damage.

TURBOCORE™ exclusively governs the turbine-style FH/FG housing and element architecture. Element family and micron grade must be selected separately: 2010 = 500-series, 2020 = 1000-series, and 2040 = 900-series. Each family may use 2, 10 or 30 µm grades where approved; 2 µm is final filtration, 10 µm secondary filtration, and 30 µm primary filtration. Historical SM/TM/PM suffixes map to 2/10/30 µm. The 2010/2020/2040 number never defines the micron rating by itself. HYDROCORE™ remains reserved for standard non-turbine fuel/water separators.

Housing geometry, staged separation, element retention, sealing and flow routing operate as one turbine-specific fuel/water separation architecture. Element family and filtration grade are independent selection variables: 2010 serves the 500-series architecture, 2020 the 1000-series architecture, and 2040 the 900-series architecture; each family may be specified in 2, 10 or 30 µm grades where approved.

PROTECTED ASSET

What sits behind the filter matters more than the filter itself.

Maintaining both the correct turbine-specific element family and the correct micron grade supports the intended staged-separation role and reduces bypass, sealing, fitment and incorrect-stage selection risk.

CONTAMINATION RISK

What happens when the protection boundary is lost.

Diesel Water Contamination

Water promotes corrosion, reduces lubricity, supports microbial growth, and creates erosion or stiction risk inside high-pressure injection components.

Fuel quality degrades, injectors lose metering precision, combustion quality declines, and the probability of pump and injector failure increases.

PROTECTION STRATEGY

Selection starts with the operating system, not a part number.

Control strategy

First match the approved FH or FG housing to the correct element family (2010, 2020 or 2040). Then select the approved filtration grade independently: 2 µm final, 10 µm secondary, or 30 µm primary filtration. Historical SM/TM/PM suffixes correspond to 2/10/30 µm respectively. Do not infer micron rating from the 2010/2020/2040 family number and do not substitute standard non-turbine separator elements.

System context

SYNTAPORE™ controls particulate contamination. HYDROCORE™ governs standard non-turbine spin-on and cartridge fuel/water separator applications, while TURBOCORE™ governs applicable FH/FG turbine-style fuel/water separation housings and dedicated 2010/2020/2040-series replacement configurations.

Family role

Turbine Series FH and FG fuel-separation housings and dedicated replacement elements for approved turbine-style fuel/water separation architecture.

BEFORE SELECTING A FILTER

Questions the application should answer first.

The correct element is defined by the protected asset, contamination exposure and operating duty. These are the questions that should be resolved before cross-reference or part selection.

01

Which approved FH or FG housing is installed?

02

Which dedicated 2010, 2020 or 2040-series replacement configuration applies?

03

What fuel flow, port arrangement and service condition must the turbine system support?

04

Are bowl, drain, seals and element orientation verified for the approved housing?

SERVICE DISCIPLINE

A new element cannot correct a contaminated maintenance practice.

01

Service the FH/FG housing and dedicated element as one approved turbine-specific architecture.

02

Verify bowl, drain, seals, element orientation and flow path before returning the system to service.

03

Do not substitute standard non-turbine separator elements solely by dimensions or appearance.
